Thakgo Group is a SAHPRA-licensed distributor, importer and exporter of medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics, supplying hospitals, clinics and institutions across South Africa.
Thakgo Group is a 100% Black-owned and 100% Black Female-owned South African company, registered since 24 August 2009. We are licensed by SAHPRA to distribute, import and export medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics across all risk classes.
We source directly from reputable manufacturers and accredited distributors, and deliver against government requests for quotation, tenders and institutional purchase orders. From our head office in Krugersdorp and a licensed branch in Bodibe, North West, we serve metropolitan hospitals and the rural clinics that larger suppliers often overlook.
Our licence covers the full range of device risk classes, so we can quote across a client's entire requirement.
The same disciplined sourcing, documentation and delivery that serve hospitals and clinics also serve animal health. Thakgo Group sources veterinary equipment and consumables from reputable manufacturers and accredited distributors, and quotes against requests for quotation from veterinary clinics, animal hospitals and institutional buyers.
Regulation 3 and 25-person kits, boxed and wall-mounted.
Patient monitors, sphygmomanometers and sterile dressing packs.
Stocked trauma and first responder backpacks.
Stethoscopes, BP cuffs, thermometers and ward consumables.
Brand, specification, sterilisation status, batch numbers, shelf life and certification (SABS, CE, ISO or equivalent) are confirmed per order against the manufacturer's datasheet. Supporting certificates come with each quotation or on request.
Thakgo Group holds a signed Manufacturer's Authorisation from HemoCue AB of Ängelholm, Sweden, a Danaher company and a leader in point-of-care diagnostics for more than 35 years, for the HemoCue® Hb 801 Analyzer and Microcuvettes.
The authorisation extends the manufacturer's full guarantee and warranty to goods offered under the bid. Channel partner onboarding with HemoCue South Africa (Pty) Ltd, whose quality management system is certified to ISO 13485:2016, is underway to support continued supply.
We continue to build direct manufacturer relationships across surgical energy devices, central venous catheters and airway management, so we can quote confirmed trade pricing rather than reseller mark-ups.
